Children at risk do not vote and have no paid lobbyists or high-powered Public relations firms. The interests of children at risk often take a back seat. The Fitzgerald Foundation for Children assists children at risk by, among other projects, training law students and lawyers to be more aware of the needs of children in the legal system.
The Fitzgerald Foundation for Children sponsors
a Damage Argument Competition and awards cash prizes to law students who
make the best closing arguments.
In addition to the Damages Argument Competition,
the Foundation will present school supplies to needy children at the start
of the school year.
Founders
James E. Fitzgerald and Sharon A. Fitzgerald of The Fitzgerald Law Firm founded the Fitzgerald Foundation for Children.
