Think back to the popular movie, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Butch and Sundance keep asking each other “Who are those guys?
“Those guys” were a group of U.S. Marshals, led by Joe LeFors, the U.S. Marshal from Wyoming, who tracked Butch and Sundance throughout the west.
Joe LeFors served with the United States District Clerk of the Court and Court Reporter, C.J. Ohnhaus. As he aged and prospered, C.J. Ohnhaus became a prominent and affluent citizen of Cheyenne. In 1910, he built the historic C.J. Ohnhaus House and Carriage House near the State Capitol.
Jim and Sharon Fitzgerald converted the historic home into a law office. Today, the building retains much of its old-fashioned charm as the U.S. Department of Interior, National Park Service approved the renovations.
